About the Host

Bob Williams started his broadcasting career in 1978 at a college station in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. It was during his tenure with then station WFDL-AM that his powerful voice, personal down home style and unique ability to hear great music that won him an audition to host the nationally syndicated program "The Moldie Oldies."
As one can guess, the audition was a success and starting in 1979 he became the programs host until 1992. During that time he also aired new and oft times unheard of groups like Quiet Riot, Metallica, Nazareth, Judas Priest, AC/DC, KISS, Alice Cooper, Queen, Pink Floyd and Heart to name only a few. It was also during this time that his reputation as a maverick grew and he became the most sought after host to air up and coming music artists.

Bob left syndication in 1992 and went into semi-retirement, yet his love and passion for music never stopped. Asked to return to broadcasting in 2009, he became the President of Star Com Media and KKRP-AM in Cowlington, Oklahoma. With this new position, it gave him the opportunity to once again bring new music to the airwaves, however this time, he focused on the Independent artist.

Finally, Bob developed "It's All Country" a one hour weekly musical airliner that focuses solely on Independent country music artists from around the world. Artists such as Jimmy Parker, Shawn Hamilton, Mila Mason, Chris Gantry to name only a few have appeared. You can feel his passion for music in each program. So is it any wonder why many within the broadcasting industry consider him an "icon" and those that know him call him a "friend to the independent artist."
Bob's "Wall of Fame" is constantly growing and changing. Many that are there have gone on to become household names. Yet anyone who knows Bob remembers him as the one person they were able to turn to that truly believed in their music and talents.
